The best time to search for a goshawk is early spring and in the early morning. They have distinctive white feathers under their tail. The goshawk can be similar size to a buzzard but generally the goshawk’s tail is noticeably longer and it looks heavier in flight.

Weight: 600-900g (male) & 1000-1400g (female)

Habitat: Pine, larch or beech forests
